Cayson's First Trip to the Dentist

Cayson went to the dentist for the first time. He did pretty good. He did not sit in the chair on his own. He had to sit in my lap during the cleaning and the exam, but he was very cooperative for 18 months. Cayson enjoys brushing his teeth, or maybe he just likes chewing on the toothbrush and tasting the toothpaste.

First Time Skiers

Chad and Caelyn had the opportunity to take a skiing lesson and ski for the first time. They did not make skis that small for Cayson so we watched and played ball and in the snow. The weather was great. It was actually a little warm. I think Chad and Caelyn had a good time. Of course, Caelyn got bored after a while.

Valentine's Day Love

There was love all around Valentines' Day.

Valentine's Candy Making

This year we experimented with making candy for Valentine's Day. Caelyn helped me. The candy actually turned out good and we had a lot of fun. There was melted candy everywhere, but it was really good.

Winter Fest 2011

Winter Fest was pretty fun. I was really cold and windy, but we had fun. There was a bonfire, arts and crafts, face painting (Caelyn asked for Ariel and Cinderella), and a horse drawn sleigh ride.

Animal Hats

So everyone has a warm wool animal hat. Gotta have a wool hat up here. Cayson has a penguin, Caelyn a panda, myself a Koala, and Chad a dog. I was only able to get picks of the kids. Hopefully we can get a family picture soon.

Caelyn Ice Skating Alone

Caelyn's school had a family night out ice skating. Within a short period of time Caelyn went from the first video, holding onto the side.....

....to on her way to becoming Debi Thomas.

Exhausted

This is why we are so exhausted with Cayson. Even when you pick him up, his legs are STILL moving.

Sibling trip to NYC

Reno, Chelsa and I got a chance to get away and head to NYC for the day. We didn't get to do everything, but we did quite a bit in a short period of time.

Snow Tubing

We had a chance to go snow tubing while Reno and Chelsa were here visiting. We liked this particular place because they had a kid section for Cayson and Caelyn, but Caelyn was a pro after the first time she went down. She was eventually going down alone and never even went to the kid area. She was even telling me not to be scared. I rode down with Cayson a couple of times. I think he was scared to get in the tube, but was fine going down. He eventually went down alone as well. I was really nervous that we was going to try to jump out, but he went on down.

Winter Wonderland

Reno and Chelsa came to visit in January for a week. We all had a really good time. We got to spend a lot of time together and did some fun stuff. A holiday, a snow day, and two snow delays. There was a lot of snow. These are pictures around the house and neighborhood. Most of the picture Reno took.
